Local Attractions

The Glen Hotel is located on the historic town square in downtown Glen Rose, Texas. This provides our guests the opportunity to step back in time and enjoy a number of attractions a short stroll from the hotel. These attractions include a number of antique stores, boutiques, restaurants, museums, theatre, river front parks and bird sanctuary.

The Paluxy River is located directly behind the hotel and provides a peaceful setting for those just wanting to relax. A water-front sitting area is coming soon which will provide a tranquil setting for the enjoyment of guests. The Paluxy River generally has a clear flowing but shallow stream of water over a rock base. This provides the perfect setting for wading, romantic walks, fossil searches or play area for children.

Glen Rose, TX is a popular tourist destination for families, romantic weekends, outdoorsmen, bluegrass music enthusiasts, among others. In 2004, Glen Rose, TX was voted the American Dream Town. Located at the north end of the Texas “Hill Country”, it has a picturesque location on the Paluxy River just above its confluence with the Brazos River.
